Welcome

My name is Jayne Pike and I am a wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend, aunt, friend – you know, all the roles that define today’s woman! I am also a very good listener and a rather good story teller.

The biggest challenge of my life for the past decade has been my husband’s health – a diagnosis of cardiac amyloidosis that shattered our world in November of 2005. We fought back with chemo, stem cell transplant and a host of clinical trials. At the onset of the disease without treatment my husband George would not have survived more than six months. Fourteen years later, he is still here and loving life!

Please check out the “Chapters” section for a more detailed view of our Amyloidosis journey!

  1. Can I just say what a comfort to uncover a person that actually understands what they’re discussing on the net. You actually know how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More and more people should check this out and understand this side of your story. I was surprised that you aren’t more popular because you most certainly possess
    the gift.

  2. I am happy that you husband has been a survival, unfortunately my husband was not that luckily, it has been 4 1/2 years since he past, but he fought a hard battle. Never heard of the disease until he was diagnosed with, I pray that someday there will be a cure for this disease.
